I purchased a 510-2143 for $1500 on eBay, including shipping. The reseller made no mention of software licensing, so my 60 days to get on subscription lapsed, but then, this is my "hobby" system, so I don't really care. I'm VERY happy with the gentlemen I purchased this stuff from and I know he has lots of equipment. I have no connection to him besides my purchase, and a later followup to purchase a tophat, drives, and an Ethernet card. His name is John and he can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. I can't remember the company name offhand. -----Original Message----- From: Steven Keil [mailto:SKeil@aaronhur.com] Sent: Monday, December 09, 2002 8:57 AM To: email@example.com Subject: [Consult400] AS/400 from EBay A client has expressed an interest in adding an AS/400 and since money is tight, is looking at buying one through EBay as an option. Has anyone purchased one through EBay or another auction site? Any thoughts on how OS/400 and maintenance is handled? Any other pros and cons we should consider?
