Hi As far as I can tell: Windows is Swedish (checked in the control panel) LANGID on the file(s) (QRPGLESRC/QDDSSRC) is SVE, CCSID 278 >From the userprofile, all set to *SYSVAL: QLANGID is set to SVE QCNTRYID is set to SE QCCSID is set to 278 1-65535 I also found an LPEX setting in preferences (translated from swedish it should be something like "source coding") the preference refrenses the file that is open in the LPEX-editor and the value is set to cp278, seams to match the iSeries setting. Just to not forget the issue. The problem arises when I open files in CODE400/CODE Designer that I've retrieved to my local PC with WDSC. /B# Mike Hockings <hockings@xxxxxxx com> Till Sänt av: CODE/400 Discussion & Support code400-l-bounces <code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> @midrange.com Kopia Ärende 2005-02-10 13:40 Re: Swedish characters in source members Sänd svar till CODE/400 Discussion & Support <code400-l@midran ge.com> What is your current/default locale settings? For CODE to download files correctly the iSeries file/member, the iSeries userid and the PC locale must all be compatible (probably in your case Swedish?). Mike Mike Hockings, P.Eng. I just get rubbish instead of the right characters. No problem when working with the members in WDSC and the LPEX editor and no problem when working with CODE400/CODE Designer directly against the memebers on the iSeries. No problem when using the Project setup in CODE400 either. When I look at the members on my PC with notepad, the characters are displayed correctly. So as far as I can understand, the problem is in the CODE-area. Anyone have a sloution?
