communication daemon, but if so, I can't get there to change it, nor could I
have gotten there to put it there in the first place.  When I try to bring
up "Properties"  I get the busy signal (hourglass) for a few seconds then
nothing more.  It has been that way ever since I've had this computer.

        I'm pretty sure that it was either a macro that I modified or a
command line change, but I don't remember which.
