you can also, from a command line, do a wrkobjlck on the source physical file and do a f6 for member locks and kill the job that has the member locked. Thanks, Mark Mark D. Re: the save progress dialog in Designer never going away. You will be happy to know that this is a bug that has been fixed WDSc 5.0.1 which has been out for a few months now. If a member is locked by CODE. Try shutting down your server (right click on little picture of iSeries and PC in the system tray). In desperation before rebooting, open the Task Manager and kill all processes that begin with EVF. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edmund Reinhardt, AS/400 AD Tools, reinhard@xxxxxxxxxx Dept 607, IBM Canada Lab TL 969-4392 Phone 905-413-4392 THarteau@xxxxxxxxxx hers.com To: CODE/400 Discussion & Support <code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: cc: code400-l-bounces@x Subject: RE: Code Learning Tools idrange.com 08/14/2003 02:23 PM Please respond to CODE/400 Discussion & Support Hi, When I am in designer, it seems to freeze when doing a save or compile. The window comes up, but the elapse time never advances. It seems to happen when I do a lot of moving of fields. I can stop it, but sometimes the changes haven't been made. In Code, I was entering a program and I don't remember exactly what happened, but it wouldn't save or compile. When I tried to get in with SEU, it said the program was locked, even after I completely exited code. I had to shut down before I could get back in, and none of my changes had taken. The other thing is with SQL. I have been using it a lot more, and in SEU, I can prompt it and Code I can't. It's been a bit since I have tried using it, but I was getting an error on an SQL statement when I tried to compile in Code, but it was fine when I compiled with option 14. I guess it is more that I am in a hurry, and run into something that is faster to do in SEU. have a 2.00 GHz/ 400 MHz P4 with 512 MB ram and a 40 GB hard drive. Ethernet speed is 10/100. I am on Windows 2000, SP4. Our iSeries is at V5R2. I am using WebSphere development studio client, V4.0. <===================================================> Terri Harteau **************** "There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes." - Dr. Who **************** _______________________________________________ This is the CODE/400 Discussion & Support (CODE400-L) mailing list To post a message email: CODE400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/code400-l or email: CODE400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/code400-l.
