I wholeheartedly agree that the prompter makes ugly code, be it CODE/400
or SEU. What a waste of real estate on the left. No DO indenting, etc.
And what it does to comments that you did manually is criminal. Like the
comments below:
SAV DEV(&SAVDEV) OBJ(('/*') +
('/QSYS.LIB' *OMIT) /* Saved with SAVLIB */ +
('/QDLS' *OMIT) /* Saved with SAVDLO */ +
('/QCA400' *OMIT) +
('QFileSvr.400' *OMIT) +
('/QOPT' *OMIT) +
('/QPWX*' *OMIT) +
('/QTCPTMM' *OMIT) +
('/QIBM/ProdData/InfoCenter' *OMIT)) +
SAVACT(*SYNC) OUTPUT(*PRINT) +
EXPDATE(&EXPDT) ENDOPT(*LEAVE) UPDHST(*YES)

I use the open source tn5250 client and don't experience this problem, but
then again, I don't prompt CL in Code, either. When I'm wanting prompted
CL, I just prompt in the green screen window and cut/paste. I prefer the
F14 view as a starting point anyway; I think the CL prompter makes my code
ugly.
