What defaults did you try to set? Remember, you need to have at least one SKIP or SPACE keyword selected or you will have an absolute record. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edmund Reinhardt, AS/400 AD Tools, reinhard@xxxxxxxxxx Dept 607, IBM Canada Lab TL 969-4392 Phone 905-413-4392 MWalter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: code400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 18/03/2003 03:34 PM Please respond to CODE/400 Discussion & Support To: CODE/400 Discussion & Support <code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc: Subject: Re: Code Designer Assumptions Ah, Oh. Note that you have to have at least one SKIP or SPACE keyword selected otherwise it is an absolute record which is a different beast. 4) Go the last tab which is called 'Styles' and select 'Creation defaults' and push the 'Redefine' button. Note you can create multiple named styles here and 'Reset' the current record to that named style. This is a very powerful feature. This same feature will help you when you are creating database reference fields (there is also a Styles tab on the properties). Many people have not discovered this powerful feature. Congratulations. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edmund Reinhardt, AS/400 AD Tools, reinhard@xxxxxxxxxx Dept 607, IBM Canada Lab TL 969-4392 Phone 905-413-4392 MWalter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: code400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 18/03/2003 11:10 AM Please respond to CODE/400 Discussion & Support To: code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx cc: Subject: Code Designer Assumptions Is there anyway to either edit or turn off the defaults that Code/400 makes when adding certain elements. Like when adding a record to a printer file, it assumes a space before and the last field assumes 2 spaces after. I would like to set my own spacing.
