Bob Cozzi created a small program that will display the version info in a little window. I attached the zip file with the program to this e-mail. Matt Output from program: DebuggerInstalled = Yes InstallDate = 6/28/2002 InstallTime = 15:54:23 Language = 1033 NetQInstalled = Yes ServicePackLevel = 5 VRM = V5R1M0 WDTDirectory = C:\WDT400\ Visit Bob Cozzi's RPGIV website at: www.rpgiv.com rob@xxxxxxxxx Sent by: code400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 02/26/2003 01:50 PM Please respond to CODE/400 Discussion & Support To: CODE/400 Discussion & Support <code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc: Subject: Re: Smart Guide bug Hak, That sp3 fix for sp3 did the trick. Thank you. I am also putting some stuff in this reply that might help other searchers. And I'll update the FAQ also. Keep in mind that this originally appeared in an internal memo and some stuff may be site specific. I went to here: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/search.wss?rs=255&tc=SSKJJP&dc=D400 and downloaded a fix for service pack 3. So, once you get WDSC 4.0 loaded, and you get Service Pack 3 loaded, then you might want to load this fix for Service Pack 3, SE08488. If you map a drive to Code400 on 'Helpserv' then drill down to E:\WDSC\Service Packs\Service Pack 3\SP3EFixSE08488, open that in a DOS prompt and run: PATCHV4SP3.BAT C:\WDSC It will install the fix. FAQ: How can I tell what version of CODE/400 do I have loaded? Start / Run / regedit / HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / IBM / ADTS Client Server for AS/400 / Install / VERSION How can I tell what service pack for CODE/400 that I have loaded? Start / Run / regedit / HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / IBM / ADTS Client Server for AS/400 / Install / ServicePackLevel How can I tell if I already have this fix? >From the batch file I see: ... if EXIST %1\java\classes.jar.ibminstall.v40sp3. GOTO ENDAPPLIED ... :ENDAPPLIED echo . echo ERROR Patch has been applied previously. GOTO END ... Therefore I reckon' the existence of: Directory of C:\WDSC\java 11/01/2002 06:09p 472,468 classes.jar.ibminstall.v40sp3 is the proof. The other way I know of is to go to the regedit and check the entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\ADTS Client Server for AS/400\Install->ServicePackLevel SP3 must be installed first before the 'SP3 efix' is applied.
