Jim, I will answer your question indirectly because I don't know if its possible to have the auto-start server assign a library list from a network drive. I suspect that it is not... You might consider using a STRCODE session rather than the local auto-start server. This would let you assign a library list on the AS/400 session so you would not be dependant on the PC. There is an option in the PC server setup that says that STRCODE sessions will take precedence. This may be default, but nevertheless would need to be checked on each PC you were using. You may also want to setup a command to run the STRCODE session for you because you won't be using the default *PRV values in the STRCODE command. code400-l-request@m idrange.com To: code400-l@midrange.com Sent by: cc: code400-l-admin@mid Fax to: range.com Subject: CODE400-L digest, Vol 1 #465 - 1 msg 01/03/2003 01:00 PM Please respond to code400-l Where does CODE store the library list on the local drive when you add libraries to your list? Can we tell CODE to retrieve the library list from a network drive instead of the local drive? In our situation, users never use the same workstation and thus cannot create a library list that is useful. In my situation, I have a library list on my office machine, but when I go to a lab to teach students, I do not have access to that library list. If would be better if the library list was stored on a network drive so CODE could retrieve it when I'm at a different machine. Jim
