For CODE editor: CALL PGM(QCODE/EVFCFDBK) PARM('37' 'Y' 'OS400' '<LOCAL> CODEEDIT "<CODESVR>&l/&f(&n)"') For Designer: CALL PGM(QCODE/EVFCFDBK) PARM('37' 'Y' 'OS400' '<LOCAL> CODEDSU "<CODESVR>&l/&f(&n)"') IMPORTANT: 1. you'll want to replace CODESVR with the name of your STRCODE server I make mine the name of my *CURLIB. 2. If you're at V5, the library name is QDEVTOOLS instead of QCODE. > > Do you have to issue a STRCODE first? Yes. > > STRCODE RMTLOCNAME(*RESOLVE) CMNTYPE(*TCPIP) > PORT(*DFT) USERID(myuser) PASSWORD(******) > I don't specify USERID and PASSWORD. Try it without it. And make sure you have defined a *CURLIB, and that no other users specify the same library as *CURLIB. This is an absolute requirement when there are two or more users using CODE. But even if you're the only one, things will work more smoothly if you specify a *CURLIB. This is what the command looks like when I call it: STRCODE SERVER(CODESVR) RMTLOCNAME('192.168.0.1') CMNTYPE(*TCPIP) PORT(*DFT) Phil
