There wasn't an autosave file in the TMP directory, just the normal CODE
stuff (which I checked). But AUTONAME is very handy to know!

It appears that CODE creates a Qxxxxxxx.400 file in TMP when the member's
opened and another .TMP file (with a not-obviously-meaningful name) when the
autosave threshold (time or number of changes) is reached. Since my system
recovered a file fragment in that directory, I assume the autosave file was
being updated (created?) when CODE crashed.

Thanks,
Reeve

Normally, you should be able to identify the temp file by entering
'AUTONAME' in the editor's commandline.

Best regards,

Damn thing just crashed after an hour's work; it was EVFWLX40.EXE. No
recovery file in TMP; it vanished too ("Autosave" is set to 2 minutes/5
changes). Fortunately, the verify listing is still out there?going to use
ALT+R to block out rectangles and snip the code I need?

The moral: save your source on the C: drive or back to the source library
on
a regular basis?
