>>Lots of Communication Daemons are being generated and >>lots of junk. How can I rectify this? Now that you have SP5 applied on WDT400 V5R1. Have you tried these first ? - Make sure that you have a unique *CURLIB defined on your iSeries signon user profile. -On your DOS prompt, do 'codeedit /CM EXIT' -Close the Communications Daemon -Delete all files in your directory C:\Program Files\IBM\Shared Files. -Bring up the Communications console again; From 'Start->Programs->IBM WDT..for iSeries-> Communications->Communication console' : - Add a server, for example, AS400 IP Name:S65187B. Click 'Change' -Leave the 'Current library' in Library List as *USRPRF -Click 'OK' to close the console. -Close the Communications daemon again. -Now, ' Start->Programs->IBM WDT..for iSeries->IBM CODE 400->CODE editor' -'File->Open' to open a file on S65187B. If you have error , please send me the screen capture and the log file C: \Program Files\IBM\Shared Files\FVDCERRS.LOG Best regards, Hak _______________________ Hak Lui AS/400 AD, IBM Canada Ltd. e-mail: haklui@ca.ibm.com
