Hmm...I opened an new source member and started a small program. The smart guides were available. I flipped back to the source I had open and had no smart guides. I tried a couple of others and had smart guides. The source type for all is RPGLE--I did check. <g> I then closed the "bad" source file and reopened it from the last opened list. Still no smart guides. I closed it and opened it again from the project manager and got smart guides. I'm still curious as to what I did other than bump the switch on the power strip. Apologies for the incoherent but vaguely foreboding trailer our mail server appends to all messages.
