Oh, man, I've been that tech before.  Simple problem, should only take a few
seconds to fix...  Yeah, right.  Nothings ever simple in computers :)

up and said "this should only take a couple of seconds."  Three hours
later after finally re-installing Win 98 they were able to install the
font.
