I tried the "J" Edit Code first, but it does not affect the way the
[field-] key works. The edit codes affect the way the data is displayed if
you redisplay the data. For some reason the edit code and the shift numeric
do not want to work together. Any more ideas? I really wouldn't think that
this would be so hard, but my co-worker and I have tried every combination
of things that we can think of. Thanks in advance. --Darlene

What if you use an edit code?  "N" gives you the left-side minuses.

Subject: Code/400 Designer Question

I have a numeric field (6,3) that I can be either negative or positive.

How can I code a screen to (right adjust with the minus mark on the right)
when the [field-] key is pressed?
It's possible, right?

Currently I have it defined at Zoned Field Type, Shift Numeric, Length 6,3
and no editing.
The number when keyed stays to the left and a symbol for the negative
number appears to the very right. Ugly!

Thanks,
Darlene Bryant
