Have you checked out the samples that come with VARPG?  I think there is
something like that in there.

I have a student working on a VARPG project who needs a little help. Could
someone send me a very simple VARPG program as a sample. She is looking for
an example where a user would enter a search value on the first screen. The
program would retrieve the record from the file and display the data on the
second screen.
