Hi,

I am running Win2KSP2, with all of the Windows Update patches...
I am debugging RPG on a V5R1 AS/400...

And the mouse will not work at all in the debug session. I have to end it,
and start again. The mouse works fine in other apps that are running at the
same time...

I have a Logitech Mouse, running 9.41 of the mouseware drivers....

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I've talked to the debugger GUI developer. We have two quick questions:
1) What client OS are you running?
2) Does your mouse misbehaves while debugger is starting or throughout the
entire debug session?

I am assuming that you debug AS/400 applications, right?

Thanks,

Hi Vadim,

Basically, it will not respond to any mouse events. If I right-click on a
line, no context menu. If I click on the scroll-bar, no movement. If I
click close, it does not close. This applies only to the main debugger
window. The little black&white window will close by a mouse click.

Although it will not respond to the mouse, F7 will step it through my
program...

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I am just curious what exactly you mean by saying that 'the program will
not respond to the mouse...'
I am also wondering what client OS you are using.

I do remember coming across problems using shortcut keys (but only when we
tried things out on
Windows XP).

Hi All,

Is anyone else experiencing problems using the mouse with Debugger?

About one out of every four times I start Debugger, I can use the keys
(like
F7 to Step), but the program will not respond to the mouse...

If I exit debugger, and try again, it will work...

I know the easiest solution would be to write code that never needs
debugging, but sometimes I do have to fix other people's code. :)

Thanks,
David
