Subject: VisualAge RPG ... How do I put . in file name?
I am writing (or attempting to write) a utility in VisualAge RPG to read a
file. The file name is INV.TXT. I put an F Spec in with the file name
INV.TXT and it complains, doesn't like it, so I take the period out and it's
happy. Okay, a work around is to rename my file to INV but how do I put a
period in a file name?
The editor error is:
RNV0289E Entry contains data that is not valid; only valid data is used.
Regards,
Jim Langston
