I would like to clarify this.
The issue in this subject discussion is that F3 on the last editor window
causes the editor to close without saving preferences changed. This is the
problem which I will investigate.
However, for all normal editor shutdown with File->Exit, all settings and
preferences, including size, position, etc. should be saved and working.
'Quiet exit' is just to get rid of the annoying message.

No, I am not getting that message. It just doesn't save the session size.

'Quiet exit' is used for getting rid of the message
EVF9452W - This session may contain an active program.
Are you saying that you are still getting this message with this option
checked?

Nope, didn't work. Next time I opened Code it came up with the tiny
screen.

Dave, and others,
Thank you. I'll give that a try and see if that will save my settings.

Rob,
Go to your Command Shell window. It's a simple toggle in the Options menu.

If anyone finds this 'Quiet exit' option I would appreciate it.

Take the "Quiet exit" option. It's somewhere obvious; I can't remember
just
this minute.

I try to exit Code by using the File menu. This is after I've shut down
all windows but the command shell. However I always get:
EVF9452W - This session may contain an active program. Do you want to
close the session without saving your data?
So what's the point?
