I am compiling the file interactively. I prompted the compile command and
chose CRTSQLRPGI. I go to the error list and double click on one
of my errors and a CODE/400 document opens up.
If my error is in the embedded SQL, the original source document appears
ie. <hostname>MCUMMING/QRPGLESRC(mbr)
If my error is in the RPG code, the temporary source document appears ie.
<hostname>MCUMMING/EVFTEMPF01(mbr)

I'm not sure where that file came from but presumably it went through the
SQL preprocessor and created this file for me. Maybe because
OPTION(*EVENTF) is specified on the compile. I am not an SQL pro so I'm
not sure what I could be doing that is different from you.
My AS/400 is a V5R1 machine.

So, what are you doing differently so I can try it out?

Yes, but can you click on the error in the error list window and have it
jump back to the source member?

Rob,
I simply tried doing a CRTSQLRPGI and seem to be able to look at my error
listing fine. How do I recreate this?

Thanks.

I compiled a SQLRPGLE program. I got errors. I double click on the error
line in the error list window and I get the message window:
"Object not found QSQLTEMP1"
The bottom line of the error list window displays
"Unexpected error opening file '<OS400>QTEMP/QSQLTEMP1(ACD0020)'"

We all know what is happening but the question is can they fix Code/400 to
accommodate embedded SQL?
