I found that if the AS/400 source member type is not specified, then the local type will be specified *BLANK. Due to a bug in 'put to host', a garbage byte is added before the text. I will open an APAR and have it fixed. To avoid the problem for now, please specify the appropriate source member type on the AS/400 host. When I changed the Type to SQLRPGLE and Put to Host it the zero was no longer in member text. I can't believe that all the source I was having trouble with had *BLANK defined for the Type but I'll keep an eye on it. Phil _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
