Thanks for the help. I found the documentation and the sample
Smart Guides. I also found out that what I wrote (a prototype
generator for Java Calls) duplicates another smart guide. It will
still come in handy though, I was thinking about a smart guide to
generate procedure interfaces for SQL UDFs and procedures.

By the way, the prototype generator does not run on my system
at work. It was a clean install that received no errors. I noticed
that the Class getting the error is LpexRPGJavaSG, which is in
classes.jar. It looks like a different version than the samples
contains which does appear to run. Also, it is suspicious that
there is an LpexRPGJavaSG.java file with a date of 1/20/00,
where no other class in classes.jar has a .java file.

                where C is your install directory.

Also I found that on the RPG editor window, you can follow the path to
the
above help:
   Actions->SmartGuides->Create procedures...->help
