Then simply position cursor over the variable of interest and the value will pop-up. You might need to allow for a few seconds in some situation. NOTE: Tool Tip evaluation works very well for scalars, but not really for arrays or records. In the latter case your best bet is to use 'Monitors' pane. Hope this helps, Vadim Berestetsky Internet: berestet@ca.ibm.com infosys5@amm.org@midrange.com on 12/27/2001 03:14:19 PM Please respond to code400-l@midrange.com Sent by: code400-l-admin@midrange.com To: code400-l@midrange.com cc: Subject: Re: Debugger This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Phil, I was using the statement "Break When field = 'ABC' -- using more info than needed. Thanks for the tip, it's working now. But, I have one more questions for anyone--since the debugger questions have hit the forum, I began using this instead of the strdbg command. I am familiar with VB's debugger and found last week when I positioned my cursor over a field name, the value would appear, similar like VB's debugger--definite plus over the strdbg. Anyway, this week as I am debugging, I cannot get the value to appear when I cursor over the field, I'm not sure what made it work last week, and I'm really not sure what made it stop working this week. Is there an option somewhere that I turned off?
