Thanks. I was able to get back online after an IPL over the weekend... It was the result of a Designer crash, and it apparently thought I was still downloading... BTW - I may be missing something, but is there a way to rearrange or scale the various windows in the Designer? As is, it almost requires a monitor at 1600x1200 to have everything visible/usable... It would be nice to toggle window panes off/on, or have them in separate floating windows... Any thoughts? I will watch for the e-fix... (Part2) This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Hi David, You will get this if comm is, as the message indicates, busy with another request. Now, I hear you thinking, "What can make it busy??" This can happen simply because you are downloading some heap-o-files from the same server or some such (i.e., "really" busy)and it can also get stuck in this busy state if some process has initiated a transaction then crashed leaving comm in a busy state. It can also happen when using Designer if you are talking to a slow '400 or over a slow link such that Designer gets tired of waiting for reference field information and re-tries or moves on to the next field. Over the past couple of weeks or so Hak & I have done some tinkering in the comm code and Designer's use of it to make things a wee bit more reluctant to do foolish things (i.e., crash). It is still far from perfect but should provide some improvement when the moon is right. We hope to make this available to you shortly in the form of a small "eFix" that will overlay some files in WDT400 V5R1M0 SP4. Stay tuned! Kind regards, Mike Mike Hockings, P.Eng. (Part2) I tried opening a file from Code, and received: Error EVF1158 Help says: You are attempting a request requiring a CODE/400 server connection, but the server specified is busy with another request. Response: Check that the server is not busy with an interactive command from the command log window or another part of CODE/400. If it simply executing another long running host command, wait for the request to end and try again. =================================== I have rebooted the PC, and I do not know what job to look for on the 400 to fix this... Any ideas? Thanks, David BTW - My original message never made it to the list... maybe because I used XXX as the server name in the subject? _______________________________________________ This is the CODE/400 Discussion & Support (CODE400-L) mailing list To post a message email: CODE400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/code400-l or email: CODE400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/code400-l.
