This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Hi Phil, If you are using a portable computer of some sort that you change the connection on (from lan to dial-up, or cable, whatever) then you might experience problems after being connected. I suspect it might be better if you end the comm daemon when you disconnect from the lan then let it auto-start as req'd. Designer will ignore host connections when first started with no host connections active. If you have had a connection active then disconnect your lan and open local dds file Designer will try and contact the last remembered host to obtain defaults for date formats & stuff. If a previously active host is remembered by comm but no longer there that could cause some consternation. Every week is a lucky week somehow, just your luck varies... Here's what's different: When I'm editing source on the as/400: * I'm in the same building as the as/400 so connectivity isn't an issue. * I always have a STRCODE session running * Launch via an as/400 cmdline call * NT4 SP4, V4R5M0 SP2 Otherwise: * no strcode session usually * Launch via CPO. * W2K SP2, V5R1M0 SP3 Does this make sense or did I just have a lucky week?
