For problems I saw posted in this discussion seem to indicate that the CL
GUI files have not been properly installed.
I used the WinZip program to unzip the file "clguiprompting.zip" and then
extract all files to "x:\wdt400\".
Please check for dates of these files:

Subject: GUI CL Prompting - Strange results
I have carefully checked everything listed but am unable to get the GUI
Prompting to work.
1. I am signed on to the one system in my server list.
2. CL GUI Prompting is checked.
When I prompt I get the message to start the STRCODE server. What is
really
strange is when I do this, and prompt again, I get the green screen prompt
and then I get a message 'Not enough memory to complete CL prompting or
help
request.' The only things running on my pc (with 768M of RAM) is one
client
access express session and Code/400.

In order for a local CL source to be prompted, the AS/400 system where the
prompt is to be obtained must be running.
That is, you must have signed on to an as400 system which is first in your
server list.

I didn't understand where to type the command
codeedit /c exit
I tried it on the command line of the editor and it did not work. So I
just
closed down the program and installed per the rest of the instructions. I
also rebooted the pc.
Now that I got your question I realized this must be something to enter in
the dos box. I did that now, but no change in behavior.

Have you done a codeedit exit and restart?

I downloaded the files, ran the backup, unzipped, checked cl GUI prompting
in the extras menu, and it still tells me to start the strcode server. How
can I figure out what to do next?
Thanks,

As for CL prompt without STRCODE, it is not in any fixpack. You still have
to get it from the WEB.

I thought that in SP3 we would not need a strcode server for cl prompting.
Is this true? How can I tell if I'm on SP3? I ran the program but there
is
no indication in the product help product information or in windows
installed programs.
