There is an easier way to find out the service pack level. Just get to an MS DOS prompt and type "WDTVER" and press <Enter>. This has been the way IBM tech support has told me to find my service pack level. It used to go to wdtver.txt before SP3 but now it displays and you can select "Copy". I am assuming the information is still accurate. It looks like "WDTVER" has information and registry has other information. Thanks for telling me about how to find information from the registry. The following displays when I type "WDTVER": IBM WebSphere Development Tools for iSeries Version: V5R1M0 Pathname: C:\WDT400\ Installation Date: 6/8/01 The following list gives the service and configuration levels of each installed product component: Component: CODE/400 Service Level: 3.01 Component: Distributed Debugger Version: 9 Pathname: C:\IBMDEBUG Service Level: 1 Component: VisualAge for Java for Windows [Installed] Component: Webfacing Service Level: 3.01 Component: Base Service Level: 3.01 Component: SDK Service Level: 3.01 Component: ET400 [Not Installed] Component: VisualAge for RPG Service Level: 3.01 Component: WebSphere Studio Service Level: 3.01 Component: NetQuestion Program Folder: C:\IMNNQ_NT --------------------------------------------- Thanks, Craig Strong From: "Phil" <sublime78ska@yahoo.com> To: <code400-l@midrange.com> Subject: RE: cl prompting & sp3 Date: Tue, 30 Oct 2001 12:46:39 -0500 Message-ID: <BIEAJMOHPOONBMDOHMOHIEHMCPAA.sublime78ska@yahoo.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 In-Reply-To: <001501c16164$83353250$0126fea9@PeaTree.local> Importance: Normal content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: code400-l-admin@midrange.com Precedence: bulk Reply-To: code400-l@midrange.com List-Help: <mailto:code400-l-request@midrange.com?subject=help> List-Post: <mailto:code400-l@midrange.com> List-Subscribe: <http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/code400-l>, <mailto:code400-l-request@midrange.com?subject=subscribe> List-Id: CODE/400 Discussion & Support <code400-l.midrange.com> List-Unsubscribe: <http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/code400-l>, <mailto:code400-l-request@midrange.com?subject=unsubscribe> List-Archive: <http://archive.midrange.com/code400-l/> Bob, here you go: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\ADTS Client Server for AS/400\Install] "Language"="1033" "InstallDate"="10/17/2001" "InstallTime"="20:38:18" "WDTDirectory"="D:\\Progra~1\\IBM\\WDT400\\" "VRM"="V5R1M0" "ServicePackLevel"="3.01" "Studio35Dir"="D:\\Progra~1\\IBM\\WDT400\\Studio35" "DebuggerInstalled"="Yes" "NetQInstalled"="Yes"> The type is REG_SZ for each.
