Find and Replace dialog box -- CODE400-L

When I enter text into the Find text box and press <Alt-F> nothing happens.
However, if I enter the text, tab out of the Find text box and then press
<Alt-F> it executes the find operation as expected. Is the find and replace
dialog box designed to work this way?
