This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Could an underpowered PC cause communications problems? My can’ t-keep-it-out-of-EasyServ i1592 ThinkPad is 500 mHz with 256 megs; my desktop is 450 mHz with 256 megs. Neither system has any demanding applications running, unless you include Windows 2000, Outlook 2000, Client Access Express, the full metal jacket version of Norton SystemWorks, and the appropriate service packs. “Verify” rips right along once everything is cached, but the caching process seems to be slow over any WAN. Is the caching process communications- or processor dependent? I’m thinking System/3 disk drives…maybe I can go in and move the jumper to go from low speed to high speed? Thanks, Reeve --
