I have Norton Anti-virus running all the time too. When installing major
software, I kill my WAN connection, turn off NAV, install, reboot, turn NAV
back on, and re-enable the WAN.

Viruses are one of those unintended consequences of the Internet. Norton
stays running on my machine, period.

I have Norton AntiVirus running all the time.

Turning it off isn't an option for me - it blocks viruses a few times a
week, and I've been infected once too many times to even consider turning it
off.

How can you tell that it is a conflict with Norton?

Phil
