When selecting the File->Open IFS, you get a Java app asking for the server name and file name. There is a browse button that allows you to find a file. The browse dialog is a java app somewhat like the windows file browse. It shows the root IFS directory (//computername), allowing all files systems to be explored (like QSYS.LIB) It does not look like the netserver or network neighborhood is being used. It may be using the AS400 java toolkit tools. I get "unable to connect to as/400" and when I click ok, the message box says: EVF2102 RC=32751 and the text is Host server name <NS not defined. Where's the ">" ? Is that why it's not defined? I have V4R5M1 SP1 This isn't a feature I use so if you have no idea what's going on don't worry about it. But if there's something I've missed or a known problem, please let me know. Also, how does this work with Netserver? Is it like OpsNav where a drive doesn't have to be shared for me to see it or does it need to be shared first?
