Greetings; I brought this up at COMMON in one of the LAB sessions, but I thought I would bring it to your attention again, as it is driving me crazy at this point. My config; Win 2000 Pro with Service pack 2 installed, V5R1M0 version of WebSphere Developemnt tools with the second fix pack installed, AS/400 (not iSeries yet!) 720 with V4R5M0 installed. IBM Thinkpad w/256Meg ram. IBM Extras are enabled, with no modifications. Highlight extra is turned on (FYI - does not seem to matter on or off). When using the compare function, I am constantly using the mouse to jump between sides, to bring them to the same lines of code so that I can view the differences between them. I am also using the scroll bars to position the window on both sides to the point I want to view/edit. When I click in the window at the place where I want to edit, the cursor is not placed at that point, but where Code editor last knew it to be. This usually jumps the screen to a different line, then I have to find the line I was on, and position my cursor back to where I wanted to edit. In other words, I position the left hand window to the next mismatch, position the right window to the same line. When I click in the left window to do some editing, the cursor does not go to where I clicked the mouse, but to where the editor wants it to be. I assume that this is the position CodeEdit last knew the cursor to reside before repositioning the windows with the scroll bars. The net effect is to have to click multiple times when a single click in the inactive window should position the cursor where I clicked the mouse. Is there a work around or a fix for this? I use compare all the time to sync my enhancements with a vendors upgrades, and I get slowed down a lot by having to reposition the cursor twice for every time I reposition the window. Thanks!
