Hi Violaine, Code's Help/Product information says V5R1M0, but I've also applied the service pack, or at least tried to, and there were no error messages. I've just tried it again, here's what I did step-by-step: 1) File/New RPGLE 2) Prompted first line as a calc spec and entered: C if a = 1 3) Escaped out of the prompt, inserted a new line and entered: C and b = 2 4) pressed Enter for new line and the error came up. Whole source looks like: C if a = 1 C and b = 2 RNF5272E Either a valid Operation Code or Conditioning-Indicator entry must be specified. Occasionally the error doesn't come up the first time. In that case, go back to the "and b = 2" line, and overkey a space after the 2 then down arrow. Could you please provide us with more information as to the version of CODE you are using and which Windows version? thanks, Violaine Batthish CODE/400 Project Lead batthish@ca.ibm.com IBMCA(BATTHISH) CODE/400 page: http://www.ibm.com/software/ad/varpg WDT/400 Support : http://www.ibm.com/software/ad/wdt400/update_downloads.html Robin Coles <robin@ringbase.co To: "'code400-l@midrange.com'" <code400-l@midrange.com> m> cc: Sent by: Subject: Niggle in Code/400 owner-code400-l@mi drange.com 07/03/2001 06:02 AM Please respond to CODE400-L Hi, I'm getting a minor annoyance in the validity checking in Code/400 V5R1. I have 2 lines of RPG: c If PaDTP = UkDTPF c or UkDTPF = '*' If I make a change on the second line I get an error: RNF5272E Either a valid Operation Code or Conditioning-Indicator entry must be specified. Overtyping the previous line with a space makes the error go away - it looks like it's not reading back far enough if it encounters an extension line. This doesn't happen in SEU, and I don't remember it in previous versions of Code. Is there a fix for this? It's not a big deal, but it is annoying.
