Excluding with "XX"" works on V4R5M1. I've had problems with a few prefix
area commands but haven't checked to see if they've been fixed on V4R5M1.

Shameless plug without compensation dept: "Understanding CODE/400 on the
AS/400" by Violaine Batthish (IBM's CODE/400 lead developer) is a good
reference. CODE/400 on-line "Help" is a little thin...

Ok I am on code 3.2.3 and have a DDS source with 1400 lines. I am looking to
change the beginning characters on the field names of 106 lines in the
middle from PC to XREPC.

With SEU I exclude those lines from view by typing XX on the first and last
lines. Then press F14. I change the column numbers I want to change and I
select to change all (2), excluded (2), and allow data to shift (Y). Easy!

With code I excluded the lines I wanted and press find/replace. There is no
reference I see to excluded lines of code.

I suppose this could be done using select as in cut and paste. By trying
that, I am not allowed to replace.

Dwight
