You’re right – I meant data type L.

Thank you for opening a problem report.

I don't think that ERRMSG is valid on a  date constant (*date) is it?  I suspect that you mean a date (data type L) field ?  If I find that this is a bug in the code, rather than simply an undocumented feature, I'll open a problem report for it to get fixed.

To edit your DDS why not simply go to File->Edit DDS Source  or flip to the Source page and press the edit button?

BTW, what is "SEU" anyway?  :-)

Subject:        Code Designer - dspf keywords

I have V4R5M1 - no service packs.

In Code Designer I have a dspf with a *date field.  When I selected "Insert
Keywords", only these key words display:

ALIAS
COLOR
DSPATR
MAPVAL
NOCCSID
OVRATR
PUTRETAIN
UNKNOWN

Where are the rest?  What I was really looking for was ERRMSG.  I went
through SEU, added it, and then looked at it in Code Designer and it's fine
but why doesn't it show up Create Keywords box?  The subset is All.

On character and numeric fields, all the keywords display in the Create
Keywords box.

Phil
