Jeff,
This combination is working for me with V4R5 SP1:
STRCODE RMTLOCNAME('192.168.0.21') SERVER(AS400R)
The "E" command in PDM is:
call qcode/evfcfdbk parm('37' 'Y' 'AS400R' '<LOCAL> CODEEDIT
"<AS400R>&L/&F(&N)"')
This also worked with the native server rather than STRCODE, but I like
having the CL prompting so I went beck to STRCODE.

Well, I just don't get it.
After upgrading to WDT V4R5, the STRCODE command worked just fine.
After installing SP 1, STRCODE quit working.
After trying everything I could, I never did get STRCODE (or the "E" command
I
set up in PDM to call CODEEDIT) to work.
After reinstalling WDT V4R5 for the _3rd_ time (4th install overall),
STRCODE
still does not work. Nor does my "E" command in PDM. Oh, I can edit in
CODE400
by starting from windows. But that's not what I want. I want my "E"
command
back in PDM.
If you have installed WDT you know how long each install (and uninstall)
takes.
I have literally spent more than 2 full days all told trying to get it to
work
like before and it still doesn't. I love the CODE 400 editor better than
SEU,
but with all the time spent trying to install it, it will be months before I
ever get that time back. Disgusted? Frustrated? You bet.
If anyone knows how to get that "E" command working in PDM again, please let
me
know.
