RE: How to zero date in prefix area?Works like a charm Barry!

You've saved me from having to learn Rexx and Macro programming at a time
when I really can't afford to change focus from my project.

Perhaps you should consider submitting this one to the Code/400 website at
http://www-4.ibm.com/software/ad/varpg/download/macros.htm

Many thanks,

John,
I couldn't find an easy way to zero the dates either.
So, here's a macro that I wrote that seems to work.
If anybody knows a better way, please let me know.
/* zerodate.lx */

done = 'No'
'bottom'
'extract prefix'
lastrow = substr(prefix,1,6)
'top'
'set prefixdefaulttext 000000'

do while( done = 'No' )
  'extract prefix'
  currentrow = substr(prefix,1,6)
  'extract content'
  firstchar = substr(content,1,1)
  'set cursorpos 1'
  'primitive replacechar "' || firstchar || '"'
  'next'
  if currentrow = lastrow then do
    done = 'Yes'
  end
end
'set prefixdefaulttext' substr(date('S'),3,6)
'top'
