Hi Dave, I was very happy to hear about your old dog enjoying new tricks. If you come across problems. Please go through the trouble of reporting them to IBM (officially I mean, not just in this distribution list). It helps us justify the cost of fixing them and making a better product. He had been working for a consulting company for many years, and had never even heard of Code (!). I showed it to him and installed it on his PC, and he's so excited about it that he can hardly contain his enthusiasm. He's especially thrilled with the display file/print file designer, even though he's already hit a couple of the bugs that crash it (we need to go through the hassle of ordering the update to V3R2M3 and see if it's any better - soon). Getting the other programmers happy with it will be the next hurdle. There's more than a few old dogs in this kennel. One customer we met some years ago got desperate enough with his "SEU is good enough" programmers that he canceled their access rights to SEU! A bit drastic but it worked - as expected they all found that they were soon much more productive with Code and he was able to allow them to use SEU again. +--- | This is the CODE/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to CODE400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to CODE400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to CODE400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: larry@paque.net +--- (Embedded image moved to file: pic29631.pcx)
