Hi Booth, this is the answer I got from our Help gurus, hope it solves the problem Hi Claus, usually problems like this are due to the user's browser proxy settings. In Netscape: Edit->preferences->advanced->proxies->Manual Proxy Configuration an entry such as: localhost:49213,127.0.0.1,localhost can be put in the exceptions field. Each entry is separated by a comma here. This way, the browser doesn't look to the network's server to resolve a local request. If their browser's setup is to use a proxy script existing on the network such as under "Automatic proxy configuration" in Netscape, then what probably needs to be done is that the sysadmin would need to add an entry for localhost requests in their script. Internet Explorer has similar proxy options under: Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings Claus Weiss Visual AD tools, email: weiss@ca.ibm.com Dept 522 IBM Canada Lab tie778-3987 Phone(416)448-3987 FAX(416)448-4414 Greetings from Toronto VARPG homepage www.ibm.com/software/ad/varpg VARPG newsgroup news://news.software.ibm.com/ibm.software.varpg, +--- | This is the CODE/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to CODE400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to CODE400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to CODE400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: larry@paque.net +---
