Thanks Phil Coulthard for the COBOL tip. That was aggravating. Patrick. -----Original Message----- From: owner-code400-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-code400-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of coulthar@ca.ibm.com Sent: Monday, April 24, 2000 11:42 AM To: CODE400-L@midrange.com Subject: A couple of tips A few things to pass on: - there is a new release coming! Stay tuned.... - for COBOL customers, we have discovered the editor support is a little painful because insert/delete "stops" at the area A and area B boundaries. You can fix this by deleting this line of code in \adtswin\macros\cbl400.lxl and cblle400.lxl: 'SET FIELDS 7 8 12 72' This is deleted in our new upcoming release. - there is a neat feature in the editor we only just discovered and so will pass on to you here (and document in a future release): - use SET DEFAULT.EXPANDHIDE ON to permanently (until explicitly set OFF) enable the display of a '+' character in the prefix area whenever the view is subsetted (as in Ctrl+G to show subroutines only). If you click on the plus sign beside a line, the collapsed lines following it are shown. Eg, clicking on a plus sign beside a subroutine name will show just that subroutine. We think you'll like this! Thanks.
