COBOL definitely continues to be a development language on the i. The
forum may not be as active as say RPG, but that doesn't mean it's not
actively in use (though perhaps COBOL "beginners" are less in quantity than
RPG beginners).

I know of a couple organizations who use COBOL on IBMi but do not to post
to this forum.
Perhaps they choose to post their COBOL comments to other sites like
https://www.reddit.com/r/cobol/
Seems reddit and other forums have user engagement to

Perhaps we need to advertise so as to get more followers and lurkers here
so as not to lose them to https://www.reddit.com/r/as400/

Subject: [External] [COBOL400-L] Is this list still alive

Hi,

While it is more than 20 years ago that I still did Cobol on IBM i it's
time to dig into it once again for a project.

Googl'ing around and looking at this list I was amazed that there's almost
zero information or activity.

Isn't Cobol used anymore on IBM i or is everyone so experienced (I hope so
for my future questions).

Kind regards,

Paul
