Can you please show me the exact command you tried for the OVRDBF
command with all parameters shown? Was that OVRDBF issued at compile
time or run time or both?
Also can you please show me some excerpts showing how that file is
declared in your COBOL source? (show the DATA DIVISION section for that
file ...)
Exactly what "syntax error" (or errors) are you getting? Can you
"cut-and-paste" that section of the source listing and show me the
actual error message(s) from the compiler?
Also are you using ILE COBOL or OPM COBOL/400?
