Charmaine,
When you did the re-creation of the files (either Physical or Logical) with a CRTPF or CRTLF, what library name did you use?
That is where the file with the new field should be located. When you create a physical file, it will not have any data so you
will probably need to copy the data from the existing physical file to the new physical file. You will need to have a FMTOPT(*MAP *DROP)
Hope that helps
Al

Subject: [COBOL400-L] Adding new field to DDS member
Good Morning,
I have found the DDS member for the file.
I added the new field to it.
I recompiled it.
I also recompiled another DDS member that is associated with this one.
When I look at the DSPFD - it does not look like it changed. I compared it to the production file and they both look the same.
It still has the same number of fields.
I know I am missing something.
I appreciate your help.
Thank you,
Charmaine
