Display data not getting to program


I have data that I'm trying to update when a user presses an fkey. The changed data is not being sent to the program unless the Enter key is pressed first. The display record is a control for a subfile and I'm overlaying a footer with an Fkey legend. When I take out the first write statement (footer) the data sends to the program with no problem. I thought I found a solution to this problem a few years ago, but I can't remember what I did.
