Hi Geir,

The only way I found of doing it, was to use DSPMSGD, outputing to a spool
file similar to:

DSPMSGD RANGE(*ALL) MSGF(*LIBL/QCPFMSG) DETAIL(*BASIC) FMTTXT(*YES) OUTPU
T(*PRINT)

and then searching the spool file.

Its not pretty, and possibly not the best but it should work for you.

Is there a way to search for words in the message text in a file of type
*MSGF?

Neither Display(5) nor Work with(12) has such a function...
