hi.

If you are logged on to a session, only one pwd is valid for that session. If
your supervisor are logging in, it must be a new session and a new pwd,
wouldn't it?

CHKPWD will handle the situation where the logged on user enters his
password but I also need to allow an override so a supervisor could
enter his userid and password to verify and continue the process. In
that instance, the password being validated will not be that of the
logged in user.

Hi.

Could the CL-cmd 'CHKPWD' be useful in this setting?

I need to pause in a process and require the user to re-enter his
password before continuing. Can anyone out there give me an example of
how to validate the re-entry of a password? I do not need to see the
value; I just need to compare a value entered on the screen with the
user's password. One additional twist, we may need a different user to
enter both his userid and password. In that case I would need to
determine whether the combination entered was valid, again, I do not
need to see the password value, I just need to know if the value entered
is valid for the userid entered. Any suggestions?
