Although I never done this in COBOL, but often in CL, I thing the only way
is to override the member, e.g.

OVRDBF FILE(FOO) TOFILE(MYLIB/MYFILE) MBR(MYMBR)

then process the FOO file, e.g.:

SELECT * from FOO

and at end DLTOVR FILE(FOO)

[COBOL400-L] To insert or read the record in particular member of the PF
throu gh SQL Statement

Dear All
Please let me know how to insert or read the record in particular member
of
the PF through SQL Statement
(sql/400)

For Eg
I have one PF (Employee) with EMPNo and EMPName with three Member
(E1,E2,E3)
And I need to read all the records from member E2

Note:
Should not override the member using OVRDBF

I tried by using the alias name it is not working
Select * from Employee E2 - Not worked

Regards
