In ILE Cobol you can:

77 w-giorno pic 9(1) value zero.

 ACCEPT w-giorno from DAY-OF-WEEK
 display " today is " w-giorno
         ".th day of the week".

Good luck.

Oggetto: [COBOL400-L] Day of the week

Hi All,

Could some one help me.
How to retrive 'Day of the week' in COBOL ?
In CL there is a statement to retrive this (RTVSYSVAL SYSVAL(QDAYOFWEEK)
RTNVAR(&SDAYOFWEEK)), but I don't know the declaration for this return
value.
