   You could submit a job which runs at midnight (e.g., SBMJOB JOB(CHGDATE)
   CMD(CALL CHANGEDATE) SCDDATE(*CURRENT) SCDTIME(23:59:59)).  Program
   CHANGEDATE could update the date in the control file.  Then if the control
   file is only loaded at the start of the program, you would need to add
   logic to re-read the file at the top of each loop.  But I'm wondering why
   not just receive the date by way of any of the previously mentioned
   methods?

   There are also better ways to submit a job every day at midnight.  It just
   depends on what options you have available.
