I'm not much of a COBOL guy, but I do know about these fields. The SQL
precompiler translates your SQL results into API calls (aka the CLI or
call level interface), and those are the fields used for that. You are
free to reference them elsewhere in your application, but I would check
the doc first (SQL Programming with Host Languages). That book should
answer all your SQL-related questions...
