Geir, yes, i can: you have to fight with user spaces, and so on. 
Anyway please find here attached a saample (taken by API programming) that
should be useful for you: it's a cobol program that lists spooled files. It
uses User Space and QUSLSPL: the latter stores info about spolled file right
into the USer space provided by the programmer.
